In a recent and disturbing development, Rajasthan government job notification for just 50 Thosands peon-level posts received applications from over 27 lakh candidates, many of whom were postgraduates and MBA holders. This shocking statistic is not just a news item — it is a mirror reflecting the broken structure of our current education system and the urgent need for a shift in how we guide our children.
This scenario forces us — teachers, parents, and educational leaders — to introspect deeply.

To Teachers: Beyond the Textbook
As teachers, you are the first role models and guides in a student’s academic journey. But today, the responsibility goes far beyond completing the syllabus.
Cultivate emotional intelligence: Communication, empathy, leadership, and resilience are equally critical for success.
Incorporate practical learning: Connect lessons to real-life applications. Let students ask questions, experiment, and explore.
Promote digital and technical skills: Introduce students to coding, basic AI concepts, data literacy, and digital tools. The world is moving toward automation, and students must not be left behind.
Encourage project-based learning: Assignments that involve research, presentations, and teamwork prepare students for future work environments.

To Parents: Let Children Build Their Own Identity
Dear parents, the world your children are entering is very different from the one you grew up in. Your expectations must evolve too.
Redefine ‘success’: A government job is not the only respectable career. Success should be measured by passion, creativity, contribution, and happiness.
Avoid comparing your child with others. Everyone has unique talents — some shine in academics, others in arts, technology, design, sports, or entrepreneurship.
Expose them to modern opportunities: Encourage them to explore fields like graphic design, game development, digital marketing, robotics, content creation, and freelancing — all of which are growing industries.
Support skill development: Enroll them in online/offline programs that teach real-world skills — public speaking, coding, problem-solving, finance, business, etc.

The World Has Changed — So Should We
The job market is evolving faster than ever. AI, automation, remote work, and the gig economy are creating entirely new industries and roles. Our students must be trained not just to seek jobs, but to create opportunities for themselves and others.
We must move from:
Competition → Collaboration
Marks → Skills
Memory → Mindset
Degrees → Problem-solving
Let’s Build a Future-Ready Generation
The change starts with you — the teacher who encourages curiosity in class, the parent who believes in their child’s dreams, and the school that opens doors to innovation.
If we fail to act now, we are not just failing a student — we are failing a generation.
